virtual conference grant

purpose

Because the 2026 annual conference will be held virtually, AALA will offer multiple grants to cover the conference registration costs. Specific travel grants will resume at the next in-person conference. The grants will reduce the financial burden for attendance by members and opens the opportunity to include new attemdees.

ELIGIBILITY AND CONDITIONS

1. Any current AALA member, early career library professional, or students who are currently enrolled in an ALA accredited graduate program, or architecture students who are pursuing careers in librarianship.
2. The recipients of the grant will submit a brief post-conference report to be posted on the AALA website. The report should describe highlights from the conference attendee's activities and experiences.

2. Send a current curriculum vitae to the AALA Awards Committee Chair, Lynn Kawaratani (lkawarat@andrew.cmu.edu).
