Pascale Sablan, FAIA, NOMAC, LEED AP, is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Third Office, a strategic advisory practice operating at the intersection of design, development, leadership, and social impact. With nearly two decades of experience, she has built an international reputation for advancing equity, visibility, and innovation within the built environment through architecture, advocacy, public speaking, and cultural programming.
Previously, Pascale served as CEO of a globally recognized architecture firm, where she oversaw projects across the Americas. During her tenure, she contributed to the leadership and delivery of internationally significant projects centered on culture, identity, civic life, and public engagement.
She is also the Founder & Executive Director of Beyond the Built Environment, a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing diversity within the design professions through storytelling, exhibitions, mentorship, and public engagement initiatives, including the global SAY IT LOUD exhibitions, which have elevated the work of more than 1,100 women and designers of color worldwide.
Pascale is the author of GREATNESS: Diverse Designers of Architecture, a globally recognized publication celebrating the work and contributions of women and designers of color within architecture. The book serves as both a cultural archive and advocacy tool, expanding conversations around representation, leadership, and legacy within design.
Pascale is the 315th living African American woman registered architect in the United States and became the youngest African American elevated to the AIA College of Fellows in the organization’s 167-year history. Her work has been featured by Forbes, The New York Times, and Oprah’s Future Rising platform, recognizing her leadership at the intersection of culture, design, and impact.
Her honors include the 2025 NCARB Presidential Medal for Distinguished Service, the AIA Whitney M. Young Jr. Award, and service on the UIA Professional Practice Commission representing the United States in global conversations about the future of architecture and professional practice.
